Three LINKS WE LOVE

Sanrio's Shocking Reveal via LAist
So this is more DISTRESSING than cute, but the LAist reported this week that Hello Kitty is, in fact, not a cat but a girl. For the upcoming Hello Kitty exhibition at the Japanese American National Museum, an anthropologist presenting her script to Sanrio representatives discovered that Hello Kitty is the "personification of a cat" but is actually meant to be a little girl. We'll be questioning everything we know for the rest of the weekend.

Hollywood Ghost Diner via Messy Nessy Chic
Messy Nessy Chic, a blog that covers nostalgia and roadside oddities around the world, did a photo shoot of this Space Age era diner in Los Angeles. It's been used for countless movies and music videos, such as The Big Lebowski and Reservoir Dogs. Johnnie's has been closed for years, but it still sits perfectly preserved.

Emerson Fry Fall Favorites via Habitually Chic
Habitually Chic posted some mouth-watering look book shots from Emerson Fry's fall catalog. We're eyeing the drop shoulder coat and organic Chambray shirt. Now excuse us while we got check out bank accounts.
