FASHION // Style Icon: Lykke Li

Lykke Li debuted in 2008 with “Dance, Dance, Dance,” the hit off of Youth Novels. It’s a song that would have been almost too cutesy if it weren’t so fun/true. Six years later she just released I Never Learn, a record she considers to be her “first authentically adult record.”

She’s 28 now, and she has experienced wrenching heart break. She’s experienced the growing pains of your twenties, but Li has turned it into a piece of work that reflects her growth and the darkness that still occasionally rears. Li has always been admired for her style, and this fall she’s debuting a capsule collection for H&M offshoot & Other Stories.

The collection, Lykke has said, was motivated by a desire for simple, soulful essentials. She explained to Vogue UK that she’s been a nomad all her life, which has necessitated bringing key essentials that still speak to who she is. We’re way excited to see this collection come fall!
