AUSTIN, Y'ALL // Three Austin Designers To Watch!

M.E. Shirley

Designer Lindsay Creel, the gal behind M.E. Shirley, just completed a Kickstarter that raised over a thousand dollars beyond her initial goal. You’ll understand why when you see her collection. Creel’s pieces will be perfect for summer, yet her collection is extremely versatile. The aesthetic is simultaneously sensual and fun, with classic, tomboyish sensibilities.

Further cementing Austin’s fledgling fashion scene is Stephanie Beard, and we’re a little obsessed. Beard nails stylish simplicity, and we’re lusting after her elegant menswear-inspired pieces. They recently launched their site after a successful Kickstarter campaign, and should be setting up shop soon.

Dust & Drag

Lots of Austinites mourned the loss of Laced with Romance, a South First vintage store with a biker edge. Luckily owner Stephanie Villalobos is back with a new line stocked at Las Cruxes, and a collection slated to come out this spring. Dust & Drag maintains its edge, and adds tie-dye and billowy materials to the mix.
