FASHION // Lavender for Spring

If you spend a decent amount of time concerned with the goings on of the fashion world (hello!) you likely already know that Pantone’s Color of the Year is Radiant Orchid. We’d like to think we naturally intuited it, as two SOS employees have been sporting lavender nails as of late. Below, we collected some of our favorite examples of the shade. We’re leaning a little more toward the Easter egg pale than the darker orchid.

Kate Spade’s Saturday collection is one of the most fun things in fashion right now. Collaborating with Nixon, this watch is emblematic of a collection that’s both classic and unafraid of a good time.

Essie’s Play Date nail polish has been our go-to polish for Spring around the studio. Both Amanda and Kelsey have both been sportin’ it. The shade has a je ne sais quoi that elicits lots of compliments from the barista at your morning stop or at drinks with friends.

It’s commonly known that lavender is a soothing scent, but we think it’s equally as soothing to the eye. Something about the shade is invigorating and brings to mind the new start of Spring. We found a Design*Sponge DIY for lavender spray that is ridiculously easy to make.

Alright dudes, we didn’t forget about you on our quest to lavender-ize everything. We love this crew neck sweater from Danish menswear line S.N.S. Herning. They somehow achieve a lavender that has enough gray so as not to be dad-wearing-a-pastel-golf-shirt lavender.
