HOME // Decor: From Our Studio Space

Last February, Son of a Sailor moved into our current studio space at Canopy here in Austin. It was our first studio that wasn’t in William and Jessica’s home, and we’ve made it happily our own, complete with regal portraits of Bill Murray and David Bowie. Jessica and Amanda (our super-fantastic studio manager) are the reigning queens of stylish organization. The rest of us can only desperately try to keep things in a semblance of order. It helps when we have some reeeeally cute organizational motivation.

Poppin / The Absolute Ruler

We use these suckers for any measuring we need to do (under a foot, of course!). They’re great for measuring small segments of beading.

IKEA / FRODE Folding Chair

These studio chairs provide a burst of color in the studio and are surprisingly more comfortable than they might look.

Replaceface via Society6 / Bill Murray Portrait

This portrait, along with its David Bowie counterpart, are the figureheads presiding over our studio. They’re the honorary monarchs, and they never fail to attract attention to themselves.
