FASHION // Style Inspiration: Knits for Winter (Part 2)

We’re about halfway through winter, but the way things are looking we have a good few months left of possible freezing temperatures. This means we can justify lots of post-Christmas winter clothes buys riiiiiight? Keep the purchases of fuzzy things coming. Here are a few knit collections we’re in warm, cozy love with right now.

Sourpuss Knits

Austin-based crafter/DIYer Lorraine of Sourpuss Knits knows how we feel about practical winter fashions. The about page on her Facebook tagline says simply “winter doesn’t have to suck.” Two Son of a Sailor employees have her bright, geometric hats with optical illusion patterns, chevron patterns and more. Run quick over to her site to take advantage of 20% off everything until tomorrow (January 10).

White Lodge Knitwear

The designer behind White Lodge, Lauren Mayhew, has her fashion credentials with a B.F.A. in Fashion Design from Savannah College of Art & Design with her work appearing in Elle and New York Fashion Week. But, more than that, her stuff is just damn cool. With careful attention to textiles and texture, Mayhew’s designs capture the highlights of trends in patterns with an eye for the playful and practical.

NeekaKnits

Adrienne of NeekaKnits may just win for most resourceful with knitting needles. Few other knitswear designers craft architectural necklaces out of yarn or knitted headband turbans. We’re lusting after this scarf and these legwarmers. If you’re into knitting and possibly selling your goods, Adrienne has a fantastic blog here.
