Marine Layer is a rad company out of San Francisco, named for the fog that rolls in off the Pacific that burns off by afternoon. With four stores in California and Oregon and plans for expansion, the company originated from a simple t-shirt design concept.

We are proud to be a part of a new and exciting collection that Marine Layer has curated, called ML Found! Stocked to the brim with great items, we’re so pleased to be a part of this great concept shop. Click through to read more about Marine Layer’s history as well as their latest endeavor!

According to their bio, founder Mike Natenshon started working on Marine Layer the day his girlfriend threw away his favorite shirt. After a year of development for the first run of shirts, the business was off and running. He sold the first hundred shirts out of his living room in just a few weeks.

Clearly they have grown leaps and bounds since selling from their home. The Pacific Northwest sensibility along with a keen eye for handmade wares, Marine Layer is making us want to return to the Bay Area, if not only to layer on some of their hip, cozy clothes.

Today, we’re proud to be featured on Marine Layer’s blog, Foggy Blog. Take a gander at their post highlighting our products and workspace, as a part of the launch of ML Found just in time for the holidays! We’re excited to be featured alongside businesses like Chronicle Books and super cool sock maker Richer Poorer…not bad company, if we do say so ourselves!
